About

Ever since I was a teenager messing around with AOL Website creator, I've loved creating websites. I went to college to pursue IT and am happily working in the field! It's certainly more fun these days as new technologies make everything easier.

Websites aren't my only passion. I love playing guitar, bass, and drums. I also rescue cats and other animals. I'm a cofounder of Le Cat Cafe at 2713 W Girard ave in Philadelphia.

Medicare Plan Finder

For the past 7 years, I've been the second developer of Medicare Plan Finder. In our team of two, I'm mostly in charge of front end changes and graphic design. I've recently taken over SSIS automation and AWS enhancements.

Technologies: C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, jQuery

Green Streeet Rescue

Since 2014, I've been the Tech guy for Green Street Rescue. I adopted a cat from GSR and had been fostering another one when I realized that this not for profit organization's website was riddled with PHP errors. I asked the founder of GSR if she was happy with her current developer or if I could take a stab. Apparently, the old website had been done by a cut and paste animal website creating company and she hated it. My background has been in proprietary languages and I wanted to learn more.

I read up on Ruby on Rails and PHP and decided that because of it's industry presence and support, it'd be a good option to learn PHP. I've found it to be a very useful and easy to learn language. I plan to use it again in the future. A friend suggested I try a framework with it. Using MVC that CodeIgniter enforces, I have been enjoying the structure and process of the tools. I also realized that using Bootstrap would be the way to go because of the wide range of users. Users can apply for a rescue cat using any modern device.

Technologies: PHP, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, CodeIgniter, PetPortal API, MySQL

Le Cat Cafe

GSR was a network of houses fostering. We wanted a place where people could come see our cats instead of coming to our house. We planted Philadelphia's first cat cafe at Girard and 27th. I did the lighting, speakers, and of course the website. I used WordPress so that the employees could do content management. I'm also in charge of the reservations and payments. Come visit!

NoVA Hoops

My Friend Chris Jollay wanted a clean website for his high school basketball blog. I created the logos and utilized WordPress so he could update the content himself. If you're interested in visiting, click here.
